

You will be given an information sheet with a description of two options (in note form). You are not allowed to see your partner's information sheet.
Study the information and silently prepare a summary.
Present your summary to your partner who will recommend one of your options.
Candidate B will then follow the same procedure.
Choose one of your options and explain why.
Stage 3 Consensus Reaching (5-7 minutes)
Compare and contrast the strengths and weaknesses of the two points with your partner.
Collaborate to decide on one option.
Stage 4 Presenting and Convincing (5-7 minutes)
Now you may look at your partner's information sheet.
The examiner leaves the table after giving instructions.
Collaborate with your partner to present a convincing presentation of your option.
Decide which two arguments each of you will present and who will begin.
Think of more formal language for the task.
After 2-3 minutes Examiner 1 returns and introduces Examiner 2 (a person of high status e.g. School Principal)
Present the chosen option and explain two reasons.
Candidate B continues the presentation with the other two reasons.
Stage 5 Justifying and Defending (5-7 minutes)
Justify/ Defend your decision to Examiner 2.
Candidate B follows the same procedure.
