Ανακοινώθηκαν από την Ελληνοαμερικανική Ένωση οι νέες ημερομηνίες διεξαγωγής των εξετάσεων   λόγω της διεξαγωγής των κοινοβουλευτικών εκλογών. 

ECCE (B2) Σάββατο 26 Μαΐου 2012

ECPE (C2) Κυριακή 27 Μαΐου  2012

Το Υπουργείο Παιδείας και Δια Βίου Μάθησης ανακοίνωσε την αναβολή των εξετάσεων του Κρατικού Πιστοποιητικού Γλωσσομάθειας περιόδου Μαΐου 2012 χωρίς ωστόσο να έχει οριστεί η νέα ημερομηνία διεξαγωγής των εξετάσεων. 

ECCE & ECPE Παράταση προθεσμίας υποβολής αιτήσεων

Η προθεσμία υποβολής αιτήσεων για τις εξετάσεις ECCE και ECPE (επιπέδου Β2 και C2 αντίστοιχα) έχει παραταθεί έως την Παρασκευή 9 Μαρτίου 2012.

BCCE & ALCE Exams 2012

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the last day you can register for the Hellenic American Union's BCCE & ALCE examinations.

NOTE : The registration deadline has been extended to 9 March 2012.  (posted on 1 March 2012)


The BCCE (Basic Communication Certificate in English) is a B1 level exam which is administered by the HAU.

The ALCE (Advanced Level Certificate in English) is a C1 level exam, also administered by the HAU.

(B1 and C1 are levels of the Common European Framework. Read more about the CEF here.

The examinations will be conducted on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the examination centers announced by the HAU.

ECCE December 2011 Results

The results for the ECCE December 2011  exam will be available online on 16 February 2012. Visit the HAU site http://orfeas.hau.gr/ to access your results.

ECPE November 2011 Results

The results for the November 2011 ECPE (C2-Proficiency) exam will be available on Wednesday, January 25 2012. If you registered for the exam on the Internet you can access your results on the HAU website. Otherwise your results will be mailed to you on 27-1-2012.

TOEFL Junior

The TOEFL Junior is administered by the HAU in Greece. The aim of the TOEFL Junior is to assess students' listening comprehension, reading comprehension and language form and meaning skills. Students aged 11-14 can take the exam.

Duration: 110 mins

Format: Each section consists of 42 questions

The score report provides a scaled score for each section (200-300 points - total 600-900 points) and section scores mapped to the CEF.

ECCE May 2011 Results

The results for the ECCE May 2011 examination will be available as of tomorrow Friday 29th July 2011. If you wish to view your results online visit the Hellenic American Union website to gain access to the Orfeas portal. Results will also be available via smart phones.

HAU ALCE & BCCE Preparation Material 2011

The Hellenic American Union has released preparation  material for the ALCE (C1- Advanced) and  BCCE (B1). To access the material log on to ORFEAS  on the HAU website.

As of January 2010 candidates taking the ALCE or BCCE can request rescoring of their writing which will include details and extracts from their essays. All oral tests are recorded to enable rescoring of the speaking section.

Michigan Advanced (C1 - ALCE) New Format and Content

As of January 2010 students are given a Results Report on a scale of 0-30 for every section.
In June 2011 candidates will take the Revised ALCE examination.

Revised ALCE Examination 

Listening 40 mins - 40 questions.

Part 1 (10 questions)

The graphs and tables will be replaced by 5 short dialogues. The questions will be printed in the candidate's booklet.

Part 2 (10 questions)

There are 10 multiple choice questions which are written in the answer booklet.

Part 3 (10 questions)

Each part is heard twice.

Part 4 (10 questions)

There are 10 multiple choice questions which are written in the answer booklet.

Grammar, Vocabulary , Reading 80 mins - 100 questions

Grammar : 40 questions

Vocabulary : 40 questions

Reading : 3 texts (approx. 500 words each) , 6-8 questions each

Writing 30 mins - 1 task

Candidates choose one out of two argumentative essay topics. (There will no longer be a report)

Speaking 11 - 13 mins

Part 1 : warm up 

Part 2 : discussion based on prompts

Part 3 : wider discussion on previous topic

Part 4 : arguing a case and supporting opinion

Νέα Δείγματα Θεμάτων ECPE (Proficiency)

Visit ELI"s website to download the new sample ECPE Test. The sample includes the test booklet, the audio files, speaking prompts , the answer key and information on how to use the practice test effectively.


Στην ιστοσελίδα του ELI μπορείτε να κατεβάσετε το νέο δείγμα θεμάτων ECPE (Michigan Proficiency). Περιλαμβάνει το test booklet, το ηχητικό αρχείο (mp3), speaking , τις λύσεις καθώς και οδηγίες για την αποδοτικότερη χρήση του δείγματος.

Preliminary Tests are an excellent way to prepare for the ECPE. Each test lasts only 30 minutes. Research has shown that students who answer 2/3 of the answers correctly (66%) are more likely to succeed in the ECPE.

Για περισσότερη εξάσκηση δοκιμάστε ένα Preliminary Test. Διαρκεί 30 λεπτά και είναι πολύ χρήσιμο για την προετοιμασία σας για εξετάσεις Proficiency. Βάσει ερευνών όσοι υποψήφιοι απαντήσουν σωστά στα 2/3 των ερωτήσεων (66%) έχουν πολλές πιθανότητες να πετύχουν στις εξετάσεις ECPE.

Παράταση Προθεσμίας ECCE ECPE May 2010

Ανακοινώθηκε νέα παράταση προθεσμίας υποβολής αιτήσεων για τις εξετάσεις πιστοποίησης γλωσσομάθειας της Ελληνοαμερικανικής Ένωσης (HAU).

Έτσι από 12 Μαρτίου που ήταν η τελευταία μέρα κατάθεσης αιτήσεων, γίνεται 24 Μαρτίου.

Δομή και περιεχόμενο TOEIC

Οι εξετάσεις TOEIC στην Ελλάδα διεξάγονται από την Ελληνοαμερικανική Ένωση. Στις εξετάσεις TOEIC συμμετέχουν πάνω από 5 εκατομμύρια υποψήφιοι κάθε χρόνο.

Μύθοι γύρω από το TOEIC:

-έχει περιορισμένη ισχύ
-δεν είναι αναγνωρισμένο από το ΑΣΕΠ

Το TOEIC έχει απεριόριστη ισχύ και αναγνωρίζεται από το ΑΣΕΠ (εκτός από το επίπεδο Proficiency)

Ο υποψήφιος πιστοποιείται στο αντίστοιχο επίπεδο που υποδηλώνει η βαθμολογία του.

Β1 Basic 405 - 500
B2 Lower 505 - 780
C1 Advanced 785 - 900

Δομή

Η εξέταση διαρκεί 2 ώρες και αποτελείται από ερωτήσεις πολλαπλής επιλογής.
- 100 ερωτήσεις εξέτασης ακουστικής κατανόησης
- 100 ερωτήσεις εξέτασης κατανόησης κειμένου
